South Korean electronics manufacturer HardKernel are back with their fourth iteration in the Odroid-Go handheld range. The Odroid-Go Ultra (OGU) raises the bar again with an SoC not seen before in a handheld and offers a decent performance bump over their previous OGS.

In January it’ll be a year since HardKernel surprised us all with their DIY handheld based on the RockChip RK3326. Since then we’ve been inundated with Chinese versions which in most cases make very little improvements to HK’s original design. 2021 will see the release of the HardKernel Odroid-Go Super (OGS) which promises some real improvements, though maybe not the ones we were hoping for.

Hardkernel have kicked off 2020 with the surprise release of their new Linux powered handheld – the Odroid-Go Advance. This is the second handheld from HardKernel and promises to deliver magnitudes more raw power than it’s older brother. I’ve had mine for a couple of weeks now.
